Overview
Calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) is a granular calcium fertiliser containing nitrogen in both nitrate and ammonium form. Nitrate nitrogen is taken up quickly for a fast effect, while ammonium nitrogen is used more slowly, helping the effect last longer. Thanks to its calcium and lime content, its soil-acidifying effect is low, which makes it a preferred choice for acidic and neutral soils. Its robust granules ensure even spreading with fertiliser spreaders.
