Privacy Notice

How we process your personal data.

This is an English translation provided for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy, the Turkish version shall prevail.

As BS NANOTECH CHEMICALS DIŞ TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. (the “Company”), in our capacity as data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “Law” or “KVKK”), we process the personal data we obtain through our website www.bsnanochem.com and our communication channels as described in this notice.

  • Identity data: your first name and surname.
  • Contact data: your email address and phone number.
  • Request data: your company name, the product you are interested in, quantity and any other information you share in your message.
  • Transaction security data: a non-reversible hash generated from your IP address and the time of submission, used to prevent misuse of the form; server access logs kept by our hosting provider.

We kindly ask you not to include special categories of personal data (such as health, religion or ethnic origin) in your message, as they are not needed to assess your request.

  • Receiving, assessing and responding to your quotation and information requests;
  • Communicating with you;
  • Carrying out quotation, contract and sales processes;
  • Ensuring information security and preventing misuse of the form;
  • Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from competent authorities.

4. Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the Law:

  • It is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (responding to your quotation request);
  • It is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation;
  • It is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right;
  • It is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (communication and information security).

5. Method of collection

Your personal data is collected electronically, partly by automated means, through the quote form on our website, email, phone and WhatsApp.

6. Transfer of personal data

  • Information you submit through the quote form is transmitted and stored as email via the infrastructure of the hosting and corporate email provider we use in Türkiye.
  • To the extent necessary to fulfil your request, it may be shared with our business partners such as suppliers, logistics companies and inspection companies.
  • It may be shared with legally authorised public authorities upon request.
  • If you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are transmitted through WhatsApp’s infrastructure and WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply.

7. Retention period

Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the purpose for which it is processed and for the periods set out in the applicable legislation; at the end of these periods it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised. The IP hash kept to prevent misuse of the form expires after 10 minutes at the latest.

8. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the Law, by applying to our Company you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed;
  • request information if it has been processed;
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose;
  • know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it has been transferred;
  • request correction if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately;
  • request deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the Law;
  • request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
  • object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems;
  • claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

9. Applications

You may submit requests regarding your rights in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, by email from your email address registered in our records to bsnano@bsnanochem.com. Your application will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on its nature; if the process requires an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
